Q1. Why should I hire a professional car company for my wedding transport?
These companies are specialists at caring for you on your big day. The cars are renovated especially for weddings, offering class and comfort. They're clean and spacious enough for your full-skirted wedding gown and their courteous (and often uniformed) drivers will make your day even more special. Quite often these companies will provide special extras like a red carpet, white ribbons on the car and champagne and nibbles. Some companies will even let car enthusiast grooms have a drive.
Q2. What are some other wedding transport options if I don't want a traditional car?
If you're getting married by the water why not hire a seaplane to make a grand entrance or a motorboat?
If you're a traditional girl opt for a romantic horse and cart - but remember they are very slow and can't go too far.
If a Rolls Royce isn't your cup of tea try a luxury sports car like a BMW or Jaguar and if your gown is a slinky one you could even hire something smaller like a Porshe.
Fill a vintage kombi van with your entire bridal party and enjoy the ride together with plenty of laughs and excitement.
And for the truly adventurous, hitch a ride on a Harley-Davidson!
Q3. How long can I have the wedding car for?
Normally these are charged by time and not distance. So you may book for a three-hour duration that would last long enough to take you to the church and then you and your hubby to your reception venue.
Obviously you can negotiate this with the company you choose if you require the cars for longer.
Q4. How far in advance would I have to book?
As with all good wedding services, some get booked in advance very quickly. As soon as you have your wedding date, start making enquiries and book about 9 months beforehand if you can.
Q5. What can I expect on the day?
Lots of transport companies these days offer lots of special extras. These may include air conditioning, champagne and nibbles which some offer when you're having your photos taken, ribbons on your car and a well-presented, uniformed and discreet chauffeur.
