Inspired by the elements of the earth and drawn to Bali by its unique energy and stunning views, Jeanne and Varick chose Karma Kandara as the perfect location to celebrate their wanderlust wedding.
Restaurant Romance...
It was five years ago at a local Japanese restaurant that Jeanne and Varick’s paths first crossed. She was working as a waitress in the restaurant and he was a frequent take-away customer, who had a knack for showing up during her shifts. Jeanne knew it was love, she says, when she chose Varick over and over again, “That was how I knew. It was never a fall, but a deliberate choice to choose him forever.”
Balinese Bliss...
“We’ve been to so many places across the world but nothing came close to the energy that Bali awakened within us and our love for one another,” says, well-travelled bride, Jeanne. The breathtaking cliff-side infinity pool at Karma Kandara inspired Jeanne to coin the term “infinity wedding” to describe the intimate affair the couple hosted with close friends and family in Bali.
Sea foam scheme...
The colour scheme for the day – all of which was designed by the bride – used shades of aqua and grey, perfectly depicting the colour of sea foam as it washes ashore. The reception tables were low to the ground and set close to the water’s edge on the beach. A purveyor of style, with an impressive following on her styling blog Grey Layers, Jeanne chose to beautifully decorate the tables with bunches of pale pink roses, blue sea holly, and white wax flowers with draped fine organza in dark grey and pops of aqua as the centrepieces. “I wanted something bright to represent light, yet embody a sense of age to it as well,” said Jeanne.
A Goddess in Galia...
The bride wore a fit and flare Galia Lahav couture gown that included intricate ivory Italian lace and a cascading tulle silk skirt and train. Her bridesmaids beautifully complemented the colour palette in mix and match gowns in an array of grey and aqua tones.
"The cliff-side infinity pool inspired us to design what I coined an infinity wedding in their beautiful venue.” - Jeanne
