A tropical inspired real wedding held on the beaches of New South Wales’ Central Coast.
Childhood friends…
Cassandra and Saxon met as children, but it wasn't until some years later, when Saxon moved to Sydney, that he got into contact with Cassandra. They met up and the rest is history! They knew it was love early on in their relationship, “when you know, you know!”
Puppy love…
In early 2015, the couple bought their first home to renovate. On the very first morning in their newly renovated home, Saxon asked Cassandra to marry him with a puppy!
Tropical influences…
Cassandra and Saxon both wanted a relaxed and elegant wedding held on the beach. Living on the sleepy Central Coast of New South Wales, they envisioned a colourful and vibrant wedding that matched their lifestyle. They held their ceremony at Pearl Beach Community Memorial Hall, a quaint cottage style hall that they styled with palms and florals.
Bridesmaid goals…
Cassandra was gifted a surprise bachelorette weekend by her amazing bridesmaids. The girls purchased matching robes (that they also wore on the wedding day) and they started the weekend with a champagne breakfast. Cassandra’s wedding florist, Octopus’ Garden, surprised the girls with flower crowns and the bridesmaids arranged for a limo to take the group to a wine bar. After a night of dancing the girls headed back to a beautiful hotel overlooking the beach!
Finding the dream dress…
Cassandra had a specific checklist in mind when she started looking for her dress, and was lucky enough to find exactly what she’d been dreaming of.
“My wedding gown was from Made With Love. I had found I was having a hard time with dresses as I wanted something that flowed, had a train, was fitted but also comfortable. I don’t know how I came across Made With Love, but I am so glad I did as my dress ticked every box.”
A tropical escape…
To complete the tropical theme, Cassandra and Saxon jetted off for a sun-filled honeymoon on the island of Tahiti. They spent an amazing few days sleeping above turquoise Tahitian waters in an overwater bungalow in Moorea. The rest of their trip was spent amongst the trees as they swapped water for land and relaxed in a tree house in Teahupoo.
Wedding wisdom…
“Relax and enjoy the day! Things may not always go to plan but they will always work out! I left my wedding veil at home and luckily my wedding photographer, Kerry, brought it with him and saved me – still cannot thank him enough!”
