K A I T L Y N A N D N I C H O L A S
Kaitlin and Nicholas’s beautiful love story started all the way back in 2010. Fast forward 10 years to this special day! They celebrated with their friends and family on the most beautiful rooftop, overlooking the city. Featuring a magical theme of olive and white, their wedding is truly straight out of a dream!
From Day 1...
Kaitlin and Nicholas’s beautiful love story started 10 years ago when they met at a family friend's BBQ. It's safe to say that Nicholas immediately knew they were meant to me. That day, he even reported to his mother that he had met the girl he was going to marry. How sweet!
The Perfect Proposal...
Kaitlyn and Nicholas got engaged on the 30th December 2018 at their favourite spot - Lake McKenzie on Fraser Island. Nicholas kept in mind that Kaitlyn loved even numbers, so he had to make sure the proposal fell on an even-numbered date and time! To make this special day even more memorable, Nicholas had organised for the couples close friends to be there to witness the proposal. The whole event was captured with drone footage, so the couple can forever remember the special moment!
The Groomsmen In White...
To match the couple's naturally bright wedding theme, the six boys were dressed in white shirts and sand coloured pants! The pair really wanted the groomsmen to complement the groom's style perfectly and the outcome was truly special. Nicholas wore an olive jacket and white pants, so the colour coordination was on point!
The Bridesmaids In White...
The six beautiful bridesmaids were all styled in a modern white, fitted dress! The whole squad being dressed in white provided a truly angelic vibe and perfectly complemented Kaitlyn’s stunning neutral-toned gown!
The Italian Inspired Dress...
Kaitlyn’s wedding dress was simply stunning! Together with Narida Panettiere Couture, Kaitlyn designed her perfect dress which was a fitted mermaid style covered in boning detail and lace elements. Along the bust, the lace featured olive leaves to match the Italian heritage of the couple. Of course, we can't forget the fabulous 5-meter long train which gave this dress the absolute timeless feel!
City View Venue...
The ceremony was held at the breathtaking Calile Hotel Rooftop in Brisbane. The wedding ceremony matched the couple's ultimate goal of an outdoor wedding in the city! For the duo, it was clear that the location had to be out in the open, so it was easy to find the ideal spot. The beautiful space offered a gorgeous backdrop of the city, creating a truly unique landscape for the photos!
A Touch Of Olive Leafs...
To celebrate the marriage of Kaitlyn and Nicholas, olive leaves were thrown at the end of the ceremony! The choice of olive leaves not only matched the theme of the wedding but as Kaitlyn says “What Italian doesn’t love olives!”. Decor for the ceremony focussed on white tones, to ensure the day was as bright as possible!
The Furry Friends...
Of course, no wedding day is as special if you can’t have your furry friends there! So Kaitlyn and Nicholas made sure that their two dogs, Fennel and Basil, were right by their side! Both dogs were dressed up for the day in cute little white gowns! The couple expressed that having the two dogs there made the wedding extra memorable!
The Rooftop Reception...
Of course, a rooftop wedding means a rooftop party! The wedding continued at the Eleven Rooftop Bar, decorated with a neon light designed for the newlyweds! The reception was further adorned with hanging olive and rosemary leaves to match the natural theme of the day. The couple continued to celebrate their Italian heritage with a cocktail reception of delicacies including arancini balls, bruschetta, and gourmet pizzas. They even gifted guests with fresh basil plants to keep at home!
Danced Into The Night...
The wedding was so amazing that everyone celebrated until 2am in the morning! Surrounded by their loved ones, the couple danced all night to their favourite tunes. Of course, their first dance was one of the most magical stages of the night. Here, they celebrated newlywed life twirling to the classic ‘Stand By Me’ by Ben E. King.
The Perfect Day...
The couple assured us that their special day was perfect! The weather and location made the whole day truly unforgettable. When it comes to the big day, the couple suggest "To not leave your partner's side! The day goes so fast - remember to do the rounds together, otherwise, you will never see each other. Have a few glasses of champagne and relax! It will all go to plan"
