"Getting the call to come to shoot in the Maldives for a wedding doesn't happen every day," says Cinematographer Abraham Joffe of Untitled Film Works. "So we were obviously very excited to receive this request mid-last year. Andres + Matthew had an incredibly intimate ceremony (just themselves and the celebrant) on a sand spit at the exclusive W Resort. This tiny attol can only be reached by a twice daily seaplane service from Male."
"Andres picked her own bouquet from flowers found on the island and at the completion of the ceremony, the couple happily entered the warm sea for a few moments caught on film. Destination weddings are becoming all the more popular, and we are very fortunate to be assigned some pretty special shoots this year," says Joffe.
He is, by no means, exaggerating... Untitled Film Works have been personally invited to shoot some of the biggest, most incredible weddings of 2013, including Preston Bailey's wedding to Theo Bleckmann in the Empire State Building with Joan Rivers as the celebrant, and in July the team will head to Santorini for an incredible wedding amongst the cliff tops!
