Katie & Andrew celebrated their special day with a laid back and elegant beachside affair.

First time lucky...

Katie & Andrew met at a local Sydney bar and struck up a connection instantly, 'It was the first time and only time I have been there, I didn’t expect to meet the love of my life" says Katie.

The bride to be was completely surprised when Andrew popped the question on one the couple's favourite hikes on the little island off Balmoral Beach.

Laid back, elegant styling...

From the outset, the couple wanted minimal colour and laid back elegant styling for their special day at St Luke's Church and let the water views at the Public Dining Room, Mosman speak for themselves.

Nude hues...

Katie's bridesmaids wore Shona Joy high neck, nude dresses, whilst the groom and his groomsmen went for dark navy suits from MJ Bale.

Simple and elegant bridal style...

To tie in with the elegant styling of the day, Katie's simple and elegant gown fitted perfectly. "After trying on lots of dresses in Sydney I didn’t feel quite right in the sequin/lace/puffy dresses I was seeing so I started looking online. I ended up ordering a Chiara Boni dress from Bergdorf Goodman and luckily it fit like a glove when it arrived" Katie says.

A range of white flowers with greenery topped off the bridal parties look and was brought into the reception venue with a range of white flowers spread out over 5 long tables.

Special guests...

Some very special little guests made Katie's day all the more sweet "I am a Kindergarten Teacher so it was really special having some of my students waiting for us outside the church after the ceremony".
