{ Louise Alvarez Bridal Couture }
Amongst the charming rolling hills of Ireland, Julie and Joseph said their vows surrounded by family, friends and fairies. The gorgeous bride was the epitome of classic elegance, dressed in a custom made Louise Alvarez Bridal Couture gown, that was perfect for their fairytale wedding.
Classically Comical...
Julie and Joseph met the 'old fashioned way', in a pub, of course! Julie was tapped on the shoulder with the classic 'have you met my friend Joe?' pick up. The couple instantly clicked over a mutual love of Irish dancing and classic Queen ballads and the rest is history.
Hilltop Magic...
Joe knew they were meant to be when Julie had a beer waiting for him on their first date. He got down on one knee on the couple's trip to Joe's family home in Ireland. "We went there the first time I visited his family home in Ireland, we both thought it was a really special place, so I guess that’s why Joe chose it as the location for the proposal", Julie reveals.
This dreamy proposal set the scene for a magical wedding in the Irish countryside.
Pretty in pink...
The bride dubbed her bridal party as "the best bridal party we could have ever asked for". Dressed in knee length pastel gowns, Julie's two bridesmaid's looks were paired sweetly with the pink bowties and socks of the groomsmen's dapper suits. The couple continued these soft, pastel hues throughout their wedding day in the form of lilac and pink buds and green succulents.
Couture in the Countryside...
Julie envisioned a gown that matched her enchanting wedding venue and sought the help of couture gown designer Louise Alvarez to make her dream come to life. With delicate lace detail and a full flowing skirt, the design was destined to be Julie's, suiting the untouched Irish countryside setting. "I wanted something soft and romantic and Louise executed this beautifully", says Julie.
Traditional Take Over...
When asked about her favourite moment from the wedding, we were surprised to hear that some sneaky gate crashes left a lasting impression on the couple. "There is a tradition in Ireland whereby a group of people gate crash and take over the dance floor at midnight", Julie reveals.
"It was amazing and mad and hilarious and completely unforgettable!" - Julie
Words of Wisdom...
Julie has three main pieces of advice for future brides on enjoying the wedding process...
- Tell people about your engagement face to face to make it extra special and keep that engagement bliss with you for as long as possible.
- Don’t let planning the wedding become all that your relationship is about! She suggested setting up ‘wedding planning meetings’ so you talk about other things with your partner - not just the wedding.
- Don’t think about what you should be doing; rather do what you feel like doing. It is your day after all!
