{Inspiration shoot} Part two. Vintage bride in Oxford Falls.

Modern Wedding Posted: January 30, 2012

What a wonderful way to start our week of inspiration! With an amazing fine art, bridal shoot from the fabulous Lisa Thompson. This is part two of last week's Mystical, Feminine and Poetic shoot. Throughout the following series of images, Lisa has kept the dreamy, oil-painting atmosphere from her first instalment and presented her vision of the esoteric bride wearing classic, vintage gowns.

Her inspiration is in keeping with part one, born from the great pre Raphaelite and Impressionistic style painter John William Waterhouse, and in particular his "Windflowers 1902". Enjoy!

With her neighbour's passion for collected vintage gowns (and willingness to share) plus her love of the 18th century art movement, this romantic, poetic and slightly magical shoot unfolded.

"John Waterhouse's painting was greatly influenced by nature, something as a photographer I also appreciate. One of my favourite Waterhouse paintings being "Windflowers 1902" This is my "Ode's to J.W. Waterhouse" Says Lisa Thompson.
