INDUSTRIAL GRUNGE
Blue hair, raw cement walls and bessa blocks aren’t your usual wedding styling props, but stylists Crab Apple Vintage prove that industrial grunge can be uber chic with their use of vintage styling elements in this inspiration shoot.
The perfect style for the indie crowd, Crab Apple Vintage embraced all things industrial for this shoot. “The inspiration started with the bride’s blue hair and every feature of The Lockup prompted a range of styling ideas,” says stylist Martina Long. The intent of this vintage wedding styled shoot was to create a funky, edgy and urban look, Martina explains this style is for anyone who’s seeking something a little edgier than the norm. “This is for the bride who wants something outside the box.” Using vintage styling elements such as a white-washed wooden table, recycled trestle table and beautiful bronze candle holders.
Finding the perfect venue was key to bringing this theme to life. “The dirty burgundy and green walls of The Lockup dictated the rest of the colours and textures for the shoot. I tried to go with neutral tones for the furnishings so as not to detract from the beautiful patina on the walls.”
