Chances are you’ve been preparing your hair and skin for the big day from the moment you became engaged. As the day nears, there are a few crucial elements you should ensure are part of your hair and beauty routine. When it comes to the night before the special day, be sure to include these steps!
Don’t Try Any New Products...
Now is not the time to test any new products that you haven’t used before. You don’t need the added stress of unexpected breakouts, irritations or allergic reactions on your wedding day. Stick with the classics! If you wish to test out some new products, before sure to trial these a few months before the wedding.
Exfoliate Your Entire Body...
Remove any dead skin with either a gentle exfoliating mitt or scrub. This will ensure your skin is fresh and smooth and ready for your bridal glam! Remember not to scrub too hard as you don’t want to irritate the skin. To really treat your skin, exfoliate over a few days to make sure all dead skin has been removed and your skin is looking fabulous. If you are planning to fake tan, be sure to factor this into your exfoliating schedule.
Wash And Treat Your Hair...
Consider using a hair mask (that you’ve used previously) to leave your hair looking healthy and refreshed. If you’ve got the time, consider getting it professionally washed and styled to reduce any frizz or hair woes. Hair that’s not freshly washed also holds styles better and will be easier to work with on the day. Consider washing your hair the night before the wedding rather than the morning of.
Moisturise...
When you hop out of the shower, be sure to apply moisturiser to your body. Pay special attention to your face, neck, hands and feet. Keeping your feet moisturised will also reduce the chances of getting blisters from uncomfortable shoes so don't forget those! When it comes to your face and neck, switch to a more gentle moisturiser. Using one containing collagen will also ensure that your skin is looking it's best on the day!
Drink Lots Of Water...
Water has so many benefits when it comes to beauty. It’ll leave you skin looking and feeling revitalised, as well as reducing redness and eye puffiness. This will also mean you are feeling fresh and well hydrated on the big day!
Keep up your eye treatment routine...
Planning a wedding can be exhausting work and you may have lost some hours of sleep thinking about all of the details! A nightly application of an under eye cream will help reduce those dreaded dark circles. A cool compress or eye mask will also counteract any puffiness.
Get a good night sleep!!...
Consider investing in some silk sheets and pillow cases not just in the lead up to the wedding, but for your life in general! These help reduce hair frizz and leave your skin with a youthful and glowing complexion. After all, you want to be feeling well rested when the big day arrives.
