C O R R I N A & I S A A C
High school sweethearts became husband and wife in this ethereal Real Wedding in a light-filled Texan farmhouse.
Friendly beginnings...
Corrina and Isaac first met in elementary school but didn’t start talking until high school. They both knew pretty quickly into their friendship that they were actually in love with each other and from there became high school sweethearts. Over 13 years since they first met, Isaac got down on one knee, proposing to Corrina in front of the Eiffel Tower!
What dreams are made of...
They set about planning a wedding that matched what Corrina had been dreaming of since childhood. Keeping as close to Houston (where their love story began!) as possible, they were on the lookout for a beautiful white barn they could decorate with soft tones of blush, grey and gold.
When they found The Farmhouse in Montgomery, Texas they knew instantly it was the one! “When we toured The Farmhouse they had just began building it so all we saw was literally just a frame of the venue,” said Corrina. “As we stood inside the center of what was to be the reception space we looked at each other and knew this was it. We took a leap and booked the venue while it was being built. The Farmhouse wouldn't be complete until two months before our wedding day. When we toured the completed venue a month before our wedding I couldn't help but tear up because it was so perfect!”
Special Touches...
The couple set out to achieve an organic and ethereal real wedding with personalised touches. They brought their venue to life with billowing grey tablecloths and laser cut wood names as the place cards. They added gold touches with hammered gold cutlery and plates with touches of gold. Their florist (Jenna Lynn Events) created a stunning greenery garland and finished the farmhouse tables with gorgeous arrangements in gold votives. Marble referents on the cake and table numbers brought a touch of luxe and DIY projects kept the whole day refreshingly authentic. Isaac and Corrina's father worked together to build the table at the entrance of the ceremony space and the boxes that held the programs. They also created a wood board filled with Polaroids from over the years of their relationship.
Style Notes...
Corrina’s gown spoke to ethereal glamour and effortless style. “When I started wedding dress shopping I knew I wanted my wedding dress to have long sleeves because I wanted to keep my dress timeless. I came across my wedding gown after scrolling through Pinterest. As soon as I saw the dress from Essense of Australia I knew that it was the one! I loved the long sleeves and the open back detailing. The long train gave the dress the dramatic effect I wanted for the ceremony and the lace throughout the dress kept with the ethereal theme we wanted.”
The Guest of Honour...
“The most important thing about our wedding was to involve our daughter, Ava. She was with me the entire time I got ready with my bridesmaids and we danced the night away with her. She wore a dress very similar to my wedding dress with long sleeves and lace detailing.”
A Moment to Remember...
Corrina’s favourite moment? The father-daughter dance! “My dad and I had prepared choreography to a music mash-up! We were so excited to surprise our guests and Isaac with our fun dance moves. Needless to say Isaac loved it and even cried because he was so surprised! My dad and I have always been super goofy so doing this fun mash-up really showed our father and daughter relationship.”
Plans for the Future...
After a relaxing honeymoon spent in Cancun, Corrina and Isaac are looking forward to the next stage of their life adventure. Their plans? “To continue living a life full of adventure and laughter. To always be each other’s greatest supporter and to watch our goals come to life.”
