Drew and Emilly returned to the place where they first met to celebrate their special day; cliffside in an elegant and tropical destination day, complete with a wall of greenery and abundant fresh white florals.
Liquid courage...
Emilly and Drew first met at a little beach bar whilst holidaying in Bali. "We caught each other’s eye and a bit of liquid courage had us introducing ourselves to each other. We spent the whole night chatting getting to know one another. We were both on holidays and luckily both from the Gold Coast!" says Emilly.
And in keeping with the love abroad theme, Drew popped the question to his bride to be at a clifftop restaurant in Santorini, Greece.
A cliff top celebration...
The couple always knew they wanted a tropical special day and were tossing up whether to have their day in either Byron Bay or Bali, but decided on returning to the place where they first met. "We chose Bali because I always loved the cliff top style wedding with lots of white flowers".
"Our ceremony was held at the cliff front of a private property that we hired in Uluwatu, Bali. We had a floating stage over the pool where we stood with our celebrant" Emilly says.
Champagne satin and chantilly lace...
Emilly had 5 bridesmaids each wearing backless champagne coloured, satin multiway dresses. Whilst the bride herself wore a custom made Susan Ogg gown, complete with French chantilly beaded lace and layers of soft tulle and organza.
Keeping with this classic, neutral colour palette the reception styling was simple and elegant consisting mostly of white, including an abundance of white orchids and roses and a flower wall overflowing with greenery and fresh flowers.
Party feet...
The couple gifted each of their guests with a pair of white flip flops so they could dance the night away, "these were placed next to the dance floor on the day so people could kick off their uncomfortable shoes and dance the night away in comfort. We had these especially made for the wedding".
Ending the night with a bang...
Emilly and Drew will never forget the wonderful fireworks show that sent them off on their first night as husband and wife.
