Here is a creative DIY wedding idea to spruce up empty bottles and jars while keeping their shiny glaze similar to milk glass. All you need is a collection of glass jars and bottles of varying heights and shapes and some water-based household paint. Wash the containers inside and out and dry thoroughly but don't throw away the lids just yet. Thoroughly stir the paint and pour just enough into each container to coat the inside. Replace the lid, shake and rotate the container gently to cover the inside evenly. Drain off any excess paint back into the paint pot and leave to dry. This is a great idea particularly if you have a hard colour theme to match or you would like to achieve a niche colour palette.
