“I adore what I do. I’m so passionate about creating wedding gowns, particularly on a grand scale. I originally trained as a classical ballerina, so I was always in love with theatrics and I developed a really strong imagination at an early age. When I graduated from my Fashion Design degree, I started out designing bikinis, but very quickly I realised I wanted to be creating stunning gowns. My favourite part of the job is building relationships with my clients. I’m inspired by beauty, colour fusion, period costumes and architecture and I’m mostly powered by chocolate and coffee. For me, it’s important to make the process fun for each and every bride. My designs are high quality, creative and a little quirky.”

What is currently inspiring you?
I am currently inspired by Baroque Style Laces and the art of reapplieng them creating a signature look for my brand and my clientele alike. I am also obsessed with the use of variable styles of sheer fabric, both stretch and woven, that create a body form look but also flow.
Favourite Fabric?
My favourite all time fabric is Duchess Satin, because it is classic but just right know its sheers with Metallic elements.
Classic or boho?
I am so Boho right now can't wait to share the new collection!
Ballgown or mermaid?
Oh no, I will have to sit on the fence and say both. Both are Signature Looks for Diane Lewis Couture.
Top tip for brides...
Create a story board of your wedding vision before you start trying things on. Set a Budget, do your research and then book appointments.
Have an open mind when trying on gowns, something left of field could be your dream gown. If working with a designer make sure you have a rapport... If you don't you never will. Make sure all suppliers give you a written quote, that is your security. Pay your deposits on time to hold your booking and if you are stretched call the supplier and keep in communication with them. After you have paid your deposit get a receipt and acknowledgement of your date being booked in.
Have fun... Your wedding is not a dress rehearsal!
