Most great couples will agree that support and love from friends and family is key to the success of a relationship, and as much as a wedding is a celebration of the bride and groom, it's also a chance to honour the people that have been there for them in the past. Your bridal party will consist of those you will want to share each special moment with, the people been at your side through the best and worst of life and will be there for every step leading up to and on your special day. It's a great responsibility and honour to be asked to be part of a bridal party, but if they are as excited about your wedding as you are, then it will also be great fun!
Why not kick off the journey together by having some fun with 'proposing' a question of your own! There are so many creative ways to ask members of your bridal party to be part of your celebrations so we've picked a few of our favourites to share with you.
A good old fashioned card is a great way to write a heartfelt message to your bridal party. We seldom express how much the people in our lives mean to us and this is a wonderful opportunity to let each person know why they are special to you. We love how the scratchie on the front of these cards from Inklings Paperie add an element of surprise too!
You can literally have your bridal party 'pop' the question by hiding an inscribed scroll in an inflated balloon and have them pop it. Sparkly star confetti inside balloons of the ready made packs from My Southern Spirit add festivity to the occasion.
There are a number of cute 'will you be my bridesmaid?' gift bags and boxes like this one from The Paper Shoppe CA available online. You could create a small gift pack for each bridesmaid by gifting each girl her favourite shade of lipstick or nail polish or you could theme the pack to the colours you plan on using for your wedding.
Another cute way to ask your bridal party is to have the question printed on a handkerchief such as these ones from The Polka Dotted Bee that they can use at your wedding to wipe away their happy tears. 😉
While an engagement ring is the ring that most ladies are looking forward too, this cute little bow ring is too sweet to pass up! The Party Posse has several knotted rings to match the 'tie the knot' message in the box.
Get party started early by asking your bridal party to share in your celebrations through a personalised bottle of champagne or wine such as these from Proper Prints Paper.
As the saying goes 'diamonds are a girl's best friend', that is unless you are a girl looking to buy diamonds for your best friends! This necklace from BRiGuysGirls is a cheeky (but adorable) gift to give to your best girls when you ask them to be part of your wedding.
We couldn't go past these charming little diorama boxes from Pamela Loops when we stumbled upon them on Etsy. We can just imagine how intriguing a small box with 'something's hiding in here' written on it would be and how thrilling it would be to discover the message inside!
Another fun way to pop the question to your bridesmaids is by gifting her with a candy ring like this one from Simple Everyday Me. It may not be a diamond ring but the gesture is still sweet!
We love the 'Best Man' cufflinks from The Blue Agave Studio as a way for your groom to ask his best man. Not only is it a creative way to ask, it's also a practical gift that can be worn on your wedding day!
Don't forget to have the kids in on the fun! After all, the flower girl and ring bearer have the very important task of adding the cute factor to your wedding! The 'Ring Security' badge (from Z Create Design) and 'Flower Girl' badge (from Bespoke Laser UK) are a fun way to get the kids excited about the special roles they'll get to play on your wedding.
