C A M I L L A & A R N E
F R O M T H E B R I D E . . .
The Meeting...
We met in Sydney in 2006. A friend gave Arne my number without me knowing and it all started with a random phone call days later. We went Christmas shopping for our first date!
The Proposal...
Arne took me for a surprise road trip to the Hunter Valley to go on a hot air balloon ride, the whole time we were up there I was thinking to myself ‘if he is going to propose, it will be up here’. But no, afterwards we had a romantic breakfast at the vineyard, still no proposal! We went for a walk by the lake and he proposed - private, unexpected and such a sweet moment.
Wedding Theme...
We wanted our wedding to be elegant, white, romantic and intimate with only our closest family and friends.
Wedding Ceremony & Reception Venue...
We were married at The Catholic Parish of Blessed John 23rd, Stanhope Gardens which is our local Church and our reception was held at The Loft Jones Bay Wharf, Doltone House.
The Dress...
The gown was full lace with a mermaid silhouette by Mori Lee and I paired it with an organza flower sash from Bespoke by Renee - I wanted it to be elegant and beautiful. I bought it from the lovely ladies at Sposabella in Wollongong.
The Bridesmaids...
The bridesmaids wore fuchsia full-length gowns from For Him and For Her.
Wedding Photographer...
We chose Jack and Jem Photography as their style matched ours, they were very professional and experienced. We just loved them and their work when we met them. They were very natural and captured the story of our wedding day so perfectly.
The Flowers...
All white - a mix of Roses, Ranunculus, Freesias, Lisianthus and a touch of dusty miller.
Decorations & Styling...
On the tables we had simple bud vases with a mix of white flowers, tea lights and tall floating candleholders. The venue didn’t really need extra decorations, there were large feature lights hanging from the timber beam ceiling upstairs and downstairs there was a marble bar, timber dance floor and funky leather seating. There was also a beautiful balcony looking out to the harbour bridge.
On the Menu...
Cocktails on the wharf balcony, then a sit down formal dinner.
Entrées - Tartlets of Goats Cheese, Quail Saltimbocca
Mains - Chicken breast, Sticky Pork Belly
Desserts – Ricotta, Raisin and Pistachio Crespelle, Toblerone Pyramid
Wedding Bomboniere...
A Jam Jar filled with homemade Guava Jam made by the mother of the Groom to ‘spread the love’.
The Honeymoon...
The next day we flew to Europe for 4 weeks eating and drinking our way through France, Italy, Greece and Spain.
Now & The Future...
We currently live in our home that we built in 2012 and in the future we plan on growing our family, travelling to exciting places and simply enjoying our life together.
