The Berta Bridal Spring/Summer 2016 Collection show conjured visions of medieval European nobility in the Grand Ballroom of The Plaza. The opulent collection paired with Maria Elena Headpieces’ gilded crowns will appeal to those who dream of being queen for a day, not a princess.
Flirting between sensual and classic sensibilities, the plunging back and necklines were offset by delicate bolero options. Body skimming gowns had been artfully embellished by pearl or crystal details and bold lace details called back to Beyonce’s show stopping 2014 Grammys gown.
Dreamy detachable skirts in tulle were peppered throughout the collection and a cathedral veil worn in mantilla style closed out the show in a suitably dramatic fashion.
With so many beautiful gowns, front and back, it was only fitting that we share this collection in two parts. Take a look at the best of Berta Bridal's latest collection, direct from New York Bridal Fashion Week, below and head on over to Part II to see this show close out in royal style.
