Becky and Andy fell in love almost immediately. Andy surprised his beloved with a proposal on their apartment’s balcony, paired with champagne and cheese: two of their favourite things.
A Floral Wedding Fantasy
“We wanted a wedding that was modern, fun, vibrant and very personalised,” recalls Becky. “We chose Gunners Barracks because we loved the water views, the old-world vibe and the sandstone courtyard.”
The chic couple envisioned lots of white flowers with a touch of navy. “We were obsessed with Lina from Chanele Rose’s Instagram,” reveals the bride. “We loved the messy all-white look with dark green.” Intent on creating a ceremony space that was as magical as it was memorable, they opted to hang beautiful white blooms from the ceiling. Chanele Rose also sourced a pair of old church doors, which became the focal point of the ceremony, decorated with an abundance of beautiful white blossoms and foliage.
“Our ceremony was very personal,” explains Becky. “One of our best friends who was there when we fell in love helped marry us, so she could tell how she got to watch our story unfold.”
The bride was radiant in her Rachael Gilbert top and skirt. “It was modern and completely unique,” she notes. She carried a white waterfall style bouquet. As dedicated wine lovers, they opted to write personal letters to one another to be read on their ten-year anniversary. “We slipped them into a specially chosen case of wine to age well.”
The couple joined their guests for a celebratory feast after tying the knot. “Lina at Chanele Rose designed the entire look for the ceremony and reception. It was just magical.”
