It's time for the third and final part of the Beach Bliss trilogy: the quirkiest, cutest beach themed tea party you'll ever see. Stylist and Shoot Director Amy Oram of Teeki wanted to inspire brides to be true to their personalities, and get creative with their wedding theme. "Tea for two was my way of showing how a little creative styling could be done very simply and easily, to create a beautifully romantic setting for two people to enjoy their love and their style." The combination of sun, surf, sand, the beautiful crisp white of the Ivy & Aster tea length dress and the quirky pops of colour create a one-of-a-kind atmosphere.
Of the elegant, yet relaxed style of the shoot, Stylist Amy said "Sabrina is wearing a shorter length lace dress by Ivy & Aster. It is supremely made with the most intricate finishes and detailing to make any bride feel amazing. It exudes elegance but is also a little playful and a bit more relaxed. Depending how you accessorise it can become quite a dressy outfit or you can keep it quite simple and fun! The shorter length is perfect for the warmer weather you encounter at a destination or coastal wedding." Amy matched the dress with a statement headpiece from Teeki. "This hand crafted silk flower uses vintage millinery techniques to press each petal into shape and it finishes off the playful elegant look" and ncorporated Samantha Wills earrings and a necklace from the new bridal range (released yesterday). "They match nicely with a statement Mezi cuff which helps to break up the white of the dress and headpiece." The fun and pretty bouquet is pink ranunculus, succulents and jonquils with gum foliage for a dainty girly feel.
"Samuel is wearing very smart blue chino pants from Zanerobe that were rolled up to give the relaxed feel and is matched back with his own button up white collared shirt. The hat by Zac from Strand Hatters suits very well to the beach theme and cements the relaxed style of this look." And the beautiful tea party styling? "It can be done quite easily with a look around your home for a few quirky finds!" says Amy. "Or perhaps hunting a vintage and retro store for a bargain with a few gorgeous pieces mixed in from Ksara Homewares like the beautiful birdcages - a nice way to display some flower arrangements instead of in a traditional vase. Flowers were also put in vintage champagne flutes and jars with ribbon and twine wrapped around them."
"The bit I really loved about this shoot was the alternative to a wedding cake!" said Amy. "It has become quite popular to do cupcakes around the base of a smaller wedding cake. If you're now looking for something to be a little different to that trend you can go with kiss me cakes. They can be made with a larger centre cake and then the single serve cakes to surround it with varied icing art on each that can be as personalised as you wish - Kiss Me Cake inscribed 'SS' for Sabrina and Samuel, very sweet."
