Scott and Amber's love story unfolded over ten years. Beginning with their introduction at a Sydney nightclub; continuing on to a strong friendship for a number of years (with underlying fireworks of course); turning into a six year relationship, which culminated in a romantic proposal in the Philippines in front of Amber's closest family. The couple wed at Monte Sant' Angelo and celebrated in classic style at Sergeants Mess, Chowder Bay.

How we met...
We met through friends ten years ago, out at a nightclub. We were friends for about 1.5 year then Scott asked me out for a date and here we are today.
When we knew it was love...
I knew from the moment I met Scott he was special. He immediately made me feel comfortable and to me that was really important. I have a very close, big family and as soon as they all met him and loved him I knew he was the one I was going to grow old with.
The engagement...
I hadn’t seen my family in the Philippines since I was about 5 years old and Scott really wanted to meet my family, so we decided to get the family together and book a trip over there. My mum, dad, sister, niece, Scott and I flew over and had the most amazing time with my family. We we were on an island having a picnic with everyone and he got down on one knee with my family around me!

Our dream wedding...
We wanted a classic wedding we would always be able to look back on and adore. We went with a white/blush tone throughout.
Reception styling...
Diane Khoury was such an amazing help with the styling. We went with a floral arch behind the bridal table, which Scott and I sat in and two big bunches on each end. I LOVE flowers and wanted each table to have its own decorative bunch surrounded by candles of different heights. To match our invitations we had glass and silver charger plates.
The flowers...
As the theme for a classic look I went for white roses for me and the girls had the same but also mixed with light pink.
The gown...
Once we got engaged I was straight into collecting images of wedding dresses/lace I loved. My sister got married the year before me and Steven Khalil made my sister’s dress, so we knew already that he would be the designer making my dress. As soon as I started describing my dress he drew something and it was exactly what I imagined.
Bridal party
The bridesmaids...
We had five bridesmaids. My sister as my maid of honour, two cousins, my sister-in-law, my best friend and my adorable niece. The girls all wore White Runway and flower girl Steven Khalil.
The groomsmen...
The groomsmen consisted of my brother and four of Scott’s best friends. They all wore Politix.
Our photographer...
We chose Daniel Griffiths. Scott and I are both quite shy people so we loved his natural looking photos. We love that our personality are seen throughout the photos.
Memorable moments
There are so many moments but I will list my top. 1 Seeing Scott for first time. 2 My first dance with my husband joined by my bridal party. 3 My last dance with my dad and my family also joined us. 4 When the priest got my little niece to also witness my wedding certificate after my sister and best man did. She was sooo excited and it was just so cute! 5 My sister and brother in law surprised with an amazing fireworks show. Everyone was on the balcony watching the fireworks over the water. It was incredible.
Our wedding soundtrack...
We had the amazing Brown Sugar and DJ Trey. Brown Sugar played a mix of old and new music. The atmosphere in the room was amazing. I had so many good comments about the band. I think a band is so important as I think they set a the mood and the vibe for the night.

Our honeymoon...
We jetted off to the Maldives for a week followed by three nights in Singapore for some shopping.
The future...
I would love to go see my family again in the Philippines and also go on a family holiday to my dad's hometown in Sicily. And of course start a family of our own.
In 40 years...
I hope we are as happy as we are right now. We have been together for 9 years this year and I feel as though our love for each other gets stronger. In 40 years I hope we are still building our great life together with our children and families.
Words of wisdom...
Enjoy being engaged!! Once the planning starts things can get crazy. We had a long engagement (18 months) and it was perfect. Buy lots of planning books and create templates and put everything in there! Your bridesmaids are also there for you, so get them to help you.
I know everyone says it, but enjoy. You spend all this time planning and it just goes so fast! I made sure once or twice throughout the night Scott and I sat down together, looked around the room and took it all in.
