R O D N E Y & M A R Y - A N N E
Rodney and Mary-Anne celebrated their marriage in the elegant Conca D'oro ballroom. Under the romantic light of crystal chandeliers they rejoiced with family and friends, feasting on good food and good wine before dancing into the night.

The Meeting...
Rodney (my husband) was the accountant for my sisters company (Labor Solutions). I was employed there as the HR/office manager, and he would always hear about 'the sister' that works in the office (me) so then he came to check me out for himself one day then started visiting the office almost every day from then for 'accounting purposes'.
Love...
It took me a while to fall for him, but when I did it was deep. We built a very good friendship in that time though, he started to have an interest in a lot of my hobbies (hunting, 4Wdriving & fishing) & I started having a lot of interest in his (drinking, partying & eating) We loved our road trips together & always had fun no matter where we were. He became my best friend.
The Proposal...
Rodney proposed where we had our first kiss, on the sand by the beach on New Years Day, for me it was special because it was very simple & simple is what I love (He did go on one knee with a beautiful smile on his face that I can never forget).
Wedding Planning...
We wanted a wedding that was a party to never forget & didn't want anybody to remain seated (that's exactly what happened) as for the colour & style I have always loved Black & Crystal together with candles.
Ceremony Venue...
St John the Beloved Melkite Church (Greenacre)
Reception Venue...
Conca D'oro Riverwood (The Classic room)
Pre-wedding Celebrations...
Yes we did, we celebrated a beautiful Spanish themed Pre-Wedding the Saturday before (15th February 2014)
The Dress...
My wedding gown was like a Cinderella dress (that's how my husband describes it) & that's exactly what my inspiration was for the dress. I had my wedding gown made by Suzanna Blazevic. It was a white 2 piece, French lace gown, under was a slim tight fitted dress below my hips (that was my party dress for the night) & for the walk down the aisle & photos I had a big throw on skirt made from tulle.
Bridesmaids...
My bridesmaids wore a long body fitted charcoal gown with a split down the left leg, accessorised with soft crystal earrings and a ring.
Wedding Flowers...
The bridesmaids had baby pink bouquets. I had my bouquet different, it was one big white flower with each petal attached one by one.
Decorating...
I left decorating up to Lenny & Francesca as long as I had a black & crystal theme happening with lots of candles & flowers on bridal table.
On the Menu...
We had champagne on arrival for the guests & a sit down meal. (400 guests)
We had Lebanese meza for starters, with a plate of calamari on each table, antipasto plate for entrée, choice of Lamb or Chicken for main & dessert was a beautiful selection of mini desserts. (So many people complimented the food!)
Wedding Favours...
We gave them a miniature bride & groom bonbonniere filled with Cadbury love hearts (hand made by my mother)
Special Memories...
The whole day/night was memorable! The biggest highlight though was the entry my husband had arranged for us to enter into the reception. There were sword dancers, mini fireworks & six drummers. It was incredible & that's where the party started!
Wedding Soundtrack...
All the songs where great! My choice would be Dolly Parton- If you ain't got love.
Honeymoon...
In Thailand 3 weeks (Koh Samui & Phuket) we loved it!
The Future...
To travel, work towards a goal & make the most out of life together, then of course start a family after we have done all the above!
Photographer...
Murielle Sassine (Vivid Photography & Imaging) was unable to do photos for us on that day as she was attending our wedding as a guest. She highly recommended Martin Schembri to take the shots & she would do the album and editing for us. Martin Schembri is a very talented photographer and took some great shots!
I Love that they were all natural and you can see how much love and fun everyone was having on that special day. It is true that a photo speaks a thousand words.
