A Touch Of The Sea Breeze at Jonah’s Whale Beach

Modern Wedding Posted: November 24, 2017

H E N O R A   &   M O N I Q U E

{ Jonah’s Whale Beach }

Perched high above Whale Beach on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, Henora and Monique tied the knot in a relaxed beachside affair. The day was complete with lashings of blush and white florals and green foilage.

Sleepless nights and early mornings…

Henora & Monique knew that they were meant to be after surviving a long distance relationship early in the piece and doing everything possible to keep in contact with one another.

“The sleepless nights and early mornings just to hear each other’s voice only confirmed our commitment, strength and love for each other. Hen always told me, if we can survive long distance we can survive anything,” says Monique.

Blush and blue beachside…

The couple opted for a low key, simple wedding at Jonah’s Whale Beach. The venue was the perfect choice for the couples guests and offered  breathtaking views across the beach below.

“The undeniably spectacular views definitely won our hearts from the moment we stepped foot inside Jonah’s. This coupled with the relaxed beachside atmosphere, the sensational menu and the friendly and attentive service”.

To tie in with their coastal surroundings, Hen & Monique themed their wedding with a navy and pale pink accents. Each of the bridesmaids’ wore dust pink Zimmerman gowns, with lace panelling and pleat detail. Whilst Hen and his groomsmen wore navy Jack London suits. White and blush florals and green foliage completed the look.

A boho bride…

Monique glowed in a bohemian inspired Grace Loves Lace gown. Seeking an elegant, modern and unique dress, her gown ticked all the boxes made entirely of white French lace, a high neckline, plunging back and fishtail skirt with train. Paired with white, cream and blush roses, cherry blossoms and wisterias, the look was made complete.

A feast fit for a king…

Jonah’s offered the wedding guests a feast. Starting with canapés and a 3 course menu consisting of sticky pork belly, confit salmon and pan-seared kingfish, just to mention a few.

And the highlight of their special day? “the throwing of the bouquet. Hen’s elderly grandmother dominated the group of ladies… in a wheelchair!”.

The couple “can’t wait to start a family. We both love travelling and experiencing different cultures. We both envision an early retirement with lots of world adventures!”.
