2019 has certainly been a big year for the royal family! We were lucky enough to be graced with another fabulous royal wedding over the weekend. This time, it was Lady Gabriella Windsor and Thomas Kingston who tied the knot.
The Couple...
Lady Gabriella Windsor is the daughter of Princess and Prince Michael, who is the Queen's cousin. She is 52nd in line for the throne. After several years together, her partner Thomas Kingston proposed in the Isle of Sark in August 2018. Thomas is a financier and has been a known associate of the royal family for many years.
The Wedding...
The couple said I do at St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle. Guests featured many members of the royal family including The Queen, new father Prince Harry, Princess Beatrice, Prince Andrew, Sarah Ferguson and Princess Anne. Other guests included Pippa Middleton, actress Sophie Winkleman and James Middleton.
The Gown...
Lady Gabriella opted for a breathtaking lace design for her ceremony gown. Created by Italian designer Luisa Beccaria, the gown featured a stunning boat neckline and lace detailed long sleeves. Accessories completing the look included a six-metre veil featuring layers of white and pink tulle. The bride also wore a tiara passed down through generations. This was worn by her grandmother Princess Marina and her mother Princess Michael of Kent on their wedding days.
The Celebrations...
The reception took place at Frogmore House, the same venue where wedding receptions were held for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, as well as Princess Eugenie and James Brooksbank earlier this year. To create a more relaxed atmosphere, the couple opted for a range of canapés rather than a sit down dinner. The cake, designed by Fiona Cairns, featured a white base and was decorated with light florals to match the brides bouquet and aesthetics of the venue. The reception was also where the bride changed into her second gown, another delicate design by Luisa Beccaria.
The After Party...
Following the royal reception, the celebrations continued at Tart Restaurant In London. It was here that the bride wore an A-line gown, coated in a soft and delicate lace and delightful beaded detail. Guests here included those who were in attendance at the wedding, as well as additional guest including actress Anne Hathaway and her husband.
Have you got royal wedding fever? Well it's time to throwback and have another look at Princess Eugenie's Wedding from earlier this year!
