Inspired by their European engagement, this couple opted for understand elegance for their wedding set amongst the stunning Byron Bay surrounds.
The Isle of Capri...
“The engagement was 2 days after my best friend’s wedding. It took my completely by surprise and was so special, not least because Aaron carried the ring all around Europe with him before he proposed!”, Claire recalls. "We opted for ‘understated elegance’. We wanted the natural beauty of the venue to shine through. The colour palette and florals were kept very simple; lots of lush green foliage and white with a hint of gold."
Intimate and heartfelt...
Married in an intimate ceremony in Byron Bay, the couple entrusted Lisette, from Arthouse Studio to make a simplistic, heartfelt wedding day.
The bride shone in a modern and chic, two piece from Sarah Seven, whilst each of her brides wore champagne, gold Shona Joy dresses.
Al fresco feasting...
After they said their 'I do's' the couple treated their guests to an opulent, al fresco feast. Lanterns adorned their reception, gorgeous peacock chairs and festoon lighting made the venue feel like a European manor, plucked out of a fairytale. "Lighting was key. We used a lot of lanterns (nearly 300!) to create soft lighting and an intimate feel", reveals Claire.
“Most memorable moments of the day were walking down the aisle to seeing all our nearest and dearest, some who had travelled so far just to be there," she notes. "And then finally seeing Aaron waiting for me at the end of the aisle, I can still remember the exact look on his face!"
