The Proposal...
We got engaged exactly one year prior to our wedding – it was a complete surprise and a magical night.
Wedding Style...
We wanted a simple, classic wedding with some regal details. It was important to us to ensure that the guests had a nice time and did not have to travel too much or wait between different segments of the wedding. We did not want anything to be over the top just a nice, chic, happy and elegant event.

The Dress...
My wedding dress was a mermaid gown with thin spaghetti straps and a sweetheart neckline. I had it custom made.
Bridesmaids Dresses...
As all of my bridesmaids were generally different height, shapes and had quite diverse styles, they each got to pick a black gown of their choice.
Groomsmen..
Similarly to the bridesmaids, the groomsmen each got to pick a black suit of their choice, with a white shirt and we picked matching charcoal ties for them. The groom had an Armani blue suit with a white shirt and a silvery/grey tie. His belt was brown, as were his shoes.
The Flowers...
The flowers were ivory long-stem Colombian roses which were partially open. I wanted the bouquets to be quite thin but rich due to the large rose heads – my bouquet was slightly bigger than the bridesmaids.
Wedding Styling...
As the Heritage and Rainbow Rooms at Cloudland are already so beautifully decorated with rich regal carpets, chandeliers, bars, wallpaper and lamps I did not want any additional decorations. The rooms were perfect. We picked chandelier- candleholder centrepieces for the tables and they complemented the rest of the room perfectly.
On the Menu...
Entrée: Smoked ocean trout, cream cheese tart, fennel, orange salad & Caramelized chicory and smoked chicken, brie vol auvent, roasted garlic cream.
Mains: Braised Beef Guncalie, parmesan puree, green beans, dehydrated onion rings & Steamed Atlantic Salmon, nicoise salad, deep fried quails egg.
Dessert: Our three-tier wedding cake. It was a traditional Serbian cake with two tiers of chocolate & hazelnut cake with chocolate filling and a middle tier of vanilla almond cake with a whipped cream type of filling.
Wedding Bomboniere...
We presented each guest a handmade soy scented candle (different scents) with our names and the wedding date on the glass holder. They were all white and smelled beautifully.
Wedding Photographer...
We saw Bird & Boy Photography's blog and portfolio online and loved their photos. I love how natural they look and how as well as portraits we have a lot of in-the-moment kind of photographs.
Special Memories...
The entire day (from 6am until past midnight) was memorable. It went by so fast but was a very happy occasion for everyone. Lots of good music, food, drinks, music and dancing.
Wedding Songs...
For walking down the aisle we had an instrumental version of A Thousand Years from Christina Perri (it was a beautiful song and made everyone cry) and when we signed our marriage certificate we had Kiss From a Rose by Seal.
Honeymoon...
We spent our honeymoon in the states, LA, Las Vegas and Washington DC.
