Autumn is here, but that doesn't mean a beach wedding is off the cards. We're lucky in Australia that the cooler months are full of gorgeous bluebird days, which makes the trade off for a winter wedding not all bad. I came across this beach shoot, originally submitted to our styling handbook, and I wanted to share it with you because I think that it does a winter beach wedding so well. Instead of typical 'beachy' colours they've embraced browns, golds, olive green and accents of red. These deep autumn colours give the shoot a completely different vibe. Styled by Little Gray Station, I love the way they've used food to imbue the scene with all those red accents - the peaches, tarts, jam and punch. The bride's flowing wedding dress offers a little more coverage from chilly winds, but it's still right at home on the beach. Shells in her hair are also a good alternative to the limited flowers available at that time of year. If you're still not totally convinced that a beach wedding can absolutely be done during the cooler seasons then scroll on..I think you'll quickly change your mind.
