This time is ever-changing as COVID-19 impacts couples planning to get married. However, this doesn't mean you shouldn't celebrate in some way on your original wedding date, even if you postponed the celebration. So here are the top 9 ways to celebrate your love during this period...
I Do Drive Thru...
So there is a maximum of 5 people who can celebrate a wedding. The company "I do drive thru" operates in Sydney, Melbourne or Adelaide and means that your dream of getting married can come true. They can come to your home or meet you at a location, with the ceremony taking place inside or outside of your car. They also have photographers and car rental companies that are recommended through their website so you don't have to stress about your special day... because even in times like these, LOVE prevails.
Elope In Your Home...
Postponed your wedding but still want to be married on your original date? Eloping in your garden or your living room is a cute and affordable way to legally be married during this time. Celebrate your love for each other at home with an officiant and your two witnesses. And when this all passes, renew your love for one another celebrating your wedding with family and friends.
Dress To Impress...
Get dressed in your wedding attire and conduct your photoshoot or see if your photographer can do a mini-session while social distancing to capture the day you were supposed to be wed. It also gives you and your partner a chance to get all dolled up and admire each other in your wedding outfits!
Write Out Your Love...
You may not be able to share your vows in a ceremony but you can express your love to your partner on the day you originally intended. Write down your feelings of love in a letter and exchange them so you can always hold onto the love you felt that day.
Zoom Party Reception...
You might not be able to see and celebrate with your guests in person however a virtual celebration allows you to have meetings with all your loved ones. This way you can celebrate with all your friends through your computer or phone on your day of love and toast to your future nuptials. Zoom is a personal favourite of ours, but any online video program will work!
Wedding Car Parade...
You have to social distance but that doesn't mean your friends can't wish you well from their car. Sit outside with your partner and organise your friends to drive by your house to wish you well on the original date for your wedding. Remember, don't travel if it's too far away and be sure to look into the laws in your community to ensure you're doing the right thing!
First Dance Feels...
Practice makes perfect and your original wedding date is the perfect time to be doing your first dance! Even if it is just for you and your partner, it a moment you can share together forever. And of course, it means you'll be killing the dance floor when it comes to the big day!
Have Your Cake and Eat It Too...
You've been waiting months or years for "the cake", so why not get a small cake of the same flavour delivered. Cut it together and share your first bite together.
Turn Your Dreams Into A Plan...
You may not have control over the current period but you can plan ahead for your honeymoon. After all, where and when that will be is up to you. Make your dreams come true and work with your partner to create the perfect honeymoon post COVID-19.
