Ask the wedding doctor
- when to sent out invitations
-
You should send your invitations no later than six to eight weeks before the wedding. Post them at the same time to avoid some guests receiving a 'late' invitation. Remember to write or print your return address on the back of the envelope so that if it isn't delivered, it will be returned to you. You can then contact those guests whose invitations did not reach them.
If you are organising a wedding away, then you need to give your guests plenty of time to organise themselves, so try to send out invitations, or at least a 'save the date' card six to eight months before the wedding. Include travel options, maps, accommodation options and an itinery of what will be happening during their stay.
