Ask the wedding doctor
- My parents are divorced and hate each other. How should I do seating arrangements to be diplomatic and not offend anyone yet make them feel special?
-
This can be a tricky one! Keeping everyone happy while organising the seating arrangements is a hard enough job without having the VIP's being difficult. There is a solution though so don't fret!
There are a couple of options:
1. Have 2 parent tables in equal distance to the bridal table. If you have one parent that gets on well with the grooms parents then you can seat that parent with them and the other parent can be on a separate table with close friends.
2 You can have 3 parent tables in equal distance to the bridal table. One for the grooms parents, one for the mother of the bride and her close friends and the other for the bride's father with his close friends.
It is essential to keep these tables equal distance from the bridal table so they all feel equally important.
Good luck with it!
