Buttonhole flowers for the groom and groomsmen are a wedding day tradition – they are an elegant addition to their outfits, plus they help identify the members of the bridal party lost in the sea of dark suits during the party. It’s also a nice idea to offer a boutonniere to the father of the bride and the father of the groom.

There are a myriad of options – here are a couple to get you thinking:
The groom’s buttonhole matches the bride’s bouquet; the groomsmen’s matches the bridesmaids.
Follow a monochromatic flower scheme where the groom wears an intense lilac boutonniere and the groomsmen adorn pale lavender numbers for example.
Match the guys’ blooms with their waistcoats, the colour theme of your wedding, the bridesmaids’ dresses or even the blue of your beloved’s eyes?

Flowergirls

Don’t hesitate to spoil your flowergirls with beautiful blooms, but choose wisely – As a rule of thumb, the younger the child, the shorter her attention span. You can trust older kids with flower baskets, wands or posies, but younger children will probably put them down halfway through the ceremony and leave them behind. For the little ones, a pomander of flowers or a colourful corsage to wear on their wrists are much safer options.
Keep it simple and incorporate your bridesmaids’ flowers into your flowergirls’ basket, wand or pomander.
Try a circlet of delicate rosebuds or tie their hair into a topknot and place a few blooms around the front of the bun – so cute!

Flowers make the perfect addition to any hairdo. To add to your glamorous look, you can choose fragrant flowers delicately placed in your hair, or even wear a floral tiara for a fresh alternative.
