Lighting plays an important role in creating an intimate, romantic atmosphere at your reception. Candles are a simple but striking addition to your table decorations to help create that mood. The whimsical heart garland wrapped around chunky candles will make a pretty addition to the look of your guests’ tables. Consider making them in colours that complement your tables flower arrangements.
Materials
- coloured papers
- 0.3m jewellery wire
- Scissors
- pearls or beads
- large candle
How to create
- Draw a heart-shaped template in three sizes, trace onto coloured papers and cut out.
- Line them up in the order and position you want. Take one heart at a time and make pin-sized holes for threading the wire.
- Measure the circumference of your candle and double that length before cutting the wire.
- Link the hearts by running the wire through the holes. When threading pearls or beads make a double loop to hold them in position.
