French Gift Notes - DIY

Kraft paper, paper mache, brown paper and cardboard all have a lovely earthy feel to them. The warm, natural colours of nature are a popular choice for brides who like the eco-stylish look. Unlike white paper that creates a background for your designs, these less refined papers become part of the design. The final appearance will depend on the colours you select when adding finishing details. Bright, bold colours will create more contrast and make a stronger statement while softer shades will gently blend with the organic texture of the paper creating a more harmonious result. Whatever combinations you decide to use remember the simpler the design the better the outcome.

You will need

Kraft paper, ivory writing paper, Paris rubber stamp set, bone folder, double-sided tape, sticky dots.

How to create

1. Download the gift note envelope template. 
2. Score and fold along the broken lines.
3. Before securing the flaps of the envelope in position, stamp your design onto the outside of the envelope.
4. Once the ink is dry glue the bottom and side flaps in place with double-sided tape.
5. Cut out and insert your gift note card. Seal envelope with a sticky dot.
