Unexpected eye catching details add charm and interest to any bridal table. This delicate table runner is embellished with large paper flowers and pretty buttons and is an appealing addition that incorporates plenty of texture.

What you will need:

  • A large sheet of textured paper for the table runner
  • Various A4 sheets of textured papers in shades of white and ivory
  • Template
  • Decorative buttons
  • Scissors, needle, thread and hot glue gun

Step 1

Download template. To make 10 paper flowers cut out ten units of each flower shape from A4 papers. Fold each one individually in half then in quarters and squeeze them together. This will help make the petals stand up and make the flower look more three-dimensional.

Step 2

Starting with a large petaled flower followed by a medium and then a small one, place the flowers on top of each other and, using a needle and thread, sew the three layers together and finish off with a button sewn to the centre. This step can also be done with a glue gun.

Step 3

To make the table runner, measure the length of the table and the desired width of the runner, cut strips from the large sheet of paper and glue together to form the runner.  Arrange the flowers in position on the edge of the runner and glue them in place.
