When you are first meeting a cake designer it’s a good idea to take a couple of cake images you like so that your ideas and expectations are clear.
Make sure you choose your designer at least three to four months before the wedding, to allow ample time for your masterpiece to be created.
- Here is a list of questions to ask your cake designer to ensure you cover everything:
- Can we see photos of other cakes you have made?
- Can we sample the different cakes and fillings?
- How big a cake will we need for our number of guests?
- How many tiers should we have?
- How can we incorporate our theme into the cake design?
- Can you put fresh flowers on the cake safely?
- Can you make a cake to fit our dietary or religious requirements?
- Is delivery and set up at the reception included in the price?
- When do we have to pay for the cake?
