Samantha and Brett had decided they would marry each other only one year after being with each other, and made the engagement official when they were on holiday in Hawaii.
The couple chose for their wedding to take place on the 25th September 2011 at Peppers Creek Chapel and Barrel Room in the increasingly popular Hunter Valley. The occasion was particularly poignant for the couple as a number of their 65 guests had made a special effort, travelling across the globe from London, Sydney, Perth, Queensland, North and South America, Africa and Germany.
Situated amongst the grapevines the sandstone chapel and nearby function centre made for a romantic wedding venue. “We loved the Hunter Valley as it was a special place we had visited early on in our relationship and loved the natural beauty of it” said Samantha.
In the lead up to the big day the planning all went smoothly. Samantha said that Brett helped a great deal, overseeing the music food and wine. The bride wore a dress by Mira Mandic and was es corted to the chapel in a princess sheerline limousine.
“It was the most magical day, despite the rain and wind it was truly a dream come true! My friend who is a classical guitarist played while the canapes were served by the fire and candleabras. Everyone commented on how beautiful the ceremony was in the sandstone chapel and the how emotional the readings were.”
