Prue and Callum Tuohy
28th August 2010
Ceremony was held on Salt Beach, Kingscliff NSW and the reception was held at the Mantra at Salt Beach, Kingscliff NSW
Photographer was Megan Hermans, she is a close friend of ours who has recently completed her degree in Photo Journalism and now in the process of doing her Masters. From the photos, her involvement and enthusiasm on the day she is an exceptional photographer and I believe has a long and successful career in photographer ahead of her.
A weekend away from the Gold Coast and it felt like we were a million miles away. After seeing the beautiful sunrise on the morning I would become a wife and I would have a husband, it began with breakfast with my best friends and getting ready. As I reflected on the morning getting ready, the best and most special part about it was that I had my close friends helping us prepare for the best day of my life so far, our hair was done by Erin who is a close friend, make-up was done by Jessie, who was my husband's cousin's girlfriend and the amazing photography was done by Megan. Having them all there made the day so much more relaxing and enjoyable.
Walking down the aisle to my husband was very special. We met through Surf Life Saving and had our ceremony on the beach, it was so relaxed (celebrant was also a friend of ours) and everything was very much 'us' and reflected our personalities. During the ceremony there were also whales jumping really close to the beach which was also very special and something that can never be planned!
The reception was so much fun and the band (Golden Child Entertainment) were amazing (and a gift from our friends) and the night was perfect, I can't commend Mantra at Salt Beach enough on the food and service on the night.
The more I reminisce on our wedding day, I don't think it could be anymore perfect and to have all our close friends and family not only be there to celebrate but also share the whole day with us in preparation for the first day of the rest of our lives as husband and wife..
Cake: The mother of the Bride, Robyn Masuino designed and made our cake
Florist: Tugun Village Florists (she sourced the fake frangipani's for us and you wouldn't believe they aren't real!)
Catering was in house by Mantra at Salt Beach (everyone was raving about the food for weeks and was the best buffet they had ever had!)
Stationary and Invitations were designed and completed by the Bride and Groom,
Gown: The Bride designed the gown (inspiration from Jules Sebastian's wedding dress and the Bridesmaid dress colours were used in the flowers) and the Mother of the Bride made it. Bridesmaid dresses: Made by the Bride and one of her bridesmaids, Courtney Smith.
Groom and groomsmen attire were from Roger David
Hair was by Erin Greenman (http://eringreenman.weebly.com/) and make-up was by Jessie Milkins.
